gconf2 software package provides GNOME configuration database system (support tools), you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gconf2
gconf2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gconf2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gconf2 *
You will get with gconf2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
